vikarmicAs promised long ago, the magnificent Emo-Rejecting Sword Art, which has never known defeat! At some point I'll write the Loresheet for the Virtuous Wulin Warrior, and play more with the Million Style Manual. I wanna play WotG SO BADLY.
Emo-Rejecting Sword Art: Rare Gold Chi Style (Artful: Swords Only)

Story:
“This is intolerable!” wailed Thoughtless Wen, blowing his nose on a perfumed handkerchief. “Everywhere I look in the World of Martial Arts, there’s tragedy! Lovers slaughter each other or die alone, friends become enemies, even favorite pets suffer tragic fates! I can’t bear it!”
Ku Feng, his chief servant, handed him another handkerchief.
“I’ll have to solve this problem somehow,” Thoughtless Wen continued, apparently unaware that he was monologueing to a wall. “But how? I can’t petition the Emperor of Heaven; he’ll never respect my competence that way!” Deep in thought, he tossed his handkerchief onto a large pile of similar used articles and began to pace.
Abruptly, he leapt into the air with a cry of inspiration. “Aha!” he cried. “I have it!” He turned to Ku Feng, who, acting on conditioned reflex, offered his master yet another handkerchief.
Thoughtless Wen waved it away. “Bring me the Divine Register of the Martial World!” he commanded. Seeing the confused and somewhat distressed look on his servant’s face, he clarified. “I wish to find the most virtuous warrior of the Wulin, and entrust him with secrets of kung fu!”
“But Master,” Ku Feng objected, “is it not secrets of kung fu which cause so much sorrow today?”
“These are different secrets!” Thoughtless Wen responded. “With this kung fu, a warrior can’t help but spread joy and merriment wherever he goes!”

Signature: The signature of this style is a sudden leap of joy in the hearts of all who witness its techniques. Flowers bloom beneath the practitioners feet, birds sing counterpoint to the song of their swords and the very sun and stars shroud them in glory!
Form 1: Awakened to Joy (5)
The techniques of the Emo-Rejecting Sword Art begin before the warrior’s sword is drawn. By channeling their joy in life through their Chi Aura, practitioners of this technique awaken a matching joy in the hearts of friend and foe alike!
--This attack deals no damage.
--You are considered a target of this attack.
--This technique has no effect on characters with an Overwhelming Joy Passion
--This attack is made with your Inspire Skill, opposed by the opponent’s Confidence.
--This attack is an Unparalleled Area Attack with a radius of twice your Favored Chi Modifier in yards. It is made as a Style Roll, and cannot therefore be defended against normally; divide your result by five to generate the Result Dice of the attack.
--Opponents damaged by this attack suffer a Major Crimson Chi Weakness: if they do not act to take joy in life with every action, they suffer a reduction in their Speed Attribute (1 point per non-joyous action performed, max 5).
--Opponents reduce their Strike by 5 when defending against this attack
Form II: Sword Defies Sorrow (10 – 6 Gold + 4 Any)
Who can bear to strike down an opponent who lives without sorrow? With a beaming smile or a flourish of the blade, the practitioner of this technique turns all attacks back on their bearers. Not even the most potent of attacks can stand before this technique: even arrows turn aside and the most puissant kung fu cannot prevail!
--This technique has no effect on characters with an Overwhelming Joy Passion.
--You must spend a Free Action demonstrating your joy in life.
--You win defensive ties.
--This is an Unparalleled Area Defense; it can defend even against attacks made as Style Rolls, and if it succeeds against an area attack, that attack is negated entirely.
--Add 2 dice to your Defense roll.
--Generates a Reply on a standard success.
--This Technique lasts for one round.
Channel: 2 Crimson: extend duration for 1 round.
Form III: Joyous Blade Unconquered (15 -- 7 Gold + 8 Any)
When a practitioner of the Emo-Rejecting Sword Art strikes, the world sings with his joy in battle. What warrior can stand against him? The sorrows of life flee before his glorious blade, and even enemies he slays praise him with their dying breath.
--This technique has no effect on characters with an Overwhelming Joy Passion.
--You may not make a Secondary Attack.
--This is an Unparalleled Attack; it is made as a style roll and cannot be defended against normally. Divide your result by 5 to find the base Result Dice of the attack.
--Double all result dice
--An opponent damaged by this attack immediately recovers from one Grief Passion from which they are suffering; hyperactivities must be chosen first, if they exist.
--An opponent damaged by this attack suffer a Major Crimson Chi Weakness: if they act without joy in any fashion, they suffer a reduction in their Speed Attribute (1 point per action performed, max 5).
--You may sacrifice result dice to add dice to a struck opponent’s next Recovery roll to recover from a Grief Passion.
Form IV: Thoughtless Wen Smiles (20 -- 8 Gold + 12 Any)
This form is named for Thoughtless Wen’s response to seeing it performed for the first time, and truly it seems that the heavens smile on the practitioner! Enveloped in a heavenly aura of golden light, the joy of the world radiates from the sky as the warrior performs a salute to the Wulin Sage – and that joy devastates their enemies, for who can stand before the glory of all things revealed?
--This attack is an Unparalleled Area Attack with a radius of twice your Favored Chi Modifier in yards, centered on you.
--Quadruple result dice for purposes of destroying Minions.
--Disorient on a standard success.
--Spend 1 Any Chi per die to cancel opponent’s River use.
--An opponent damaged by this attack suffer a Major Crimson Chi Weakness: if they act without joy in any fashion, they suffer a reduction in their Speed Attribute (1 point per action performed, max 5).
--Targets damaged by this attack suffer Chi Flow Loss in their White Chi for your Rank in rounds.
* Bonus: You receive a free Emo-Rejecting Sword Art Skill equal to the rank of the highest Technique you learn in this Style.

3 Enthusiasm: You have Quality Enthusiasm! This grants you +5 to all rolls to recover from or prevent Grief Passions. For an additional 3 Destiny, you may instead have Perfect Enthusiasm – increase the bonus to +10, but you take a -5 penalty on rolls to recover from or prevent Joy passions!
